NOTHING IS WRONG A LADY HELPING IN SPONSORING THEIR MARRIAGE

Many ladies keep asking Should i help my husband sponsor our marriage? I don’t believe that there is anything wrong for a lady to help a guy to finance their marriage rites. We Africans have a mentality that needs to be changed.

If you have met a guy and the friendship has blossomed into a relationship and you have accepted him, then you should put your resources together to actualize that dream of marriage. If both parents have been informed and your Pastor is aware of the relationship, probably you are undergoing the marriage classes, at this point though both of you are not married, there is nothing like ‘my money’ and ‘his money’ both of you should put your resources together to actualize that marriage vision.

All hands are not equal, the whole money for the marriage rites must not come from him alone, you should be able to assist him as a lady financially no matter how little it is. Most times, some ladies think that he must foot every bill regarding the marriage rites, this mind set is wrong. Help with the little you can afford, make the man see you as an asset not a liability. If you don’t have, it is understandable, but that you have and refuses to bring it and help him because of our African mentality that a man should cater for all the marriage rites bills, and then it is wrong I mean very wrong.
